web log - tuesday, october 23, 2001 day 103. i know that i can't take no more. it ain't no lie. i wanna see you out that door. baby, bye, bye, bye. hannah did great last night (again). she slept from 11pm to 3:30am and from 4am to 8am. she only woke up because i kicked something at the foot of her crib. no biggy. she was her smiley little self, stretching and looking as cute as ever. tonight i got to babysit hannah *by myself* for a couple hours, while my wife went to a pampered chef party. my wife left at about 7:15pm, soon after feeding her. i walked around with her for a few minutes. i tried to sit down but she started to get fussy. so i walked her until about 7:40pm. at that point i put her in her bouncy seat and we both watched "battlebots" on tv for a while. at about 7:50pm, she started to get bored with the tv and the bouncy seat and started to fuss. so i took her out and walked her around some more. by now, my arms were getting sore. i couldn't sit or she'd get even fussier. she was obviously tired and was fussing quite a bit but she couldn't calm down to get to sleep. i was getting frustrated but tried everything i could think of. i finally broke down and sang "jesus loves me (this i know)" to her for about 10 minutes. i know the first verse and most of the second but that's it. and, personally, i don't think i can sing worth beans. but she calmed down enough to fall asleep in my arms. whew. at about 8:10pm i was able to sit down and let her sleep on my chest. i watched "star trek: the next generation" until my wife came home at 9:00pm. i held her long enough for my wife to get comfortable and settled before i passed her off. all in all, it was some good time with just her and i. :) i removed a video from my hard drive and my music video listing. it was just a stupid choice to even add it in the first place. down to 74 and counting. i downloaded another game tech demo for another game coming out. unfortunately, this one isn't even worth a complete page review. "fate" is, basically, a first-person shooter that is *very* reminiscent of "quake". not "quake ][". not "quake ]|[". just "quake". with some very minor (if any) improvements. i was not impressed at all. let's move on. more, more, more movies. list coming soon. peace, spudwrench web log - monday, october 22, 2001 day 102. on the boats and on the planes, they're coming to america. never looking back again, they're coming to america. hannah's doing great. nothing really new. still happy and health. tomorrow night i get to babysit her *by myself* for a couple hours, while my wife goes to a pampered chef party. i'll keep you posted on how it goes. i downloaded a few more videos. they've been added to my music video listing. 75 total... and growing i watched most of "scary movie" over the last couple days. for the most part, it's pretty lame. but there are a couple of good lines in there. peace, spudwrench
